SCOTT Scale 965 (2023) – Race-Bred Lightweight Hardtail Performance
The SCOTT Scale 965 (2023) is a lightweight, high-performance hardtail mountain bike built for speed, control, and adventure. Designed with a racing-inspired geometry, this model blends performance-focused components with rugged durability, making it ideal for both weekend trails and XC racing.
Built around a SCOTT Scale Alloy 6061 frame with custom butted tubing, the Scale 965 delivers stiffness where it counts and comfort where you need it. The tapered head tube and Syncros Cable Integration System keep the bike sleek and responsive. A RockShox Judy Silver TK Solo Air fork provides 100 mm of smooth travel, while the SCOTT RideLoc 2 remote system allows for efficient on-the-fly suspension lockout.
Shifting is handled by a 12-speed Shimano SLX drivetrain paired with Deore shifters, offering a wide gear range via a 10-51T cassette—perfect for tackling climbs and technical descents. Shimano MT201 hydraulic disc brakes with 180/160 mm rotors deliver reliable braking power in all conditions.
Rolling on 29-inch Syncros X-27 rims with Maxxis Rekon Race 2.4” tires, the Scale 965 offers excellent traction and speed on loose and hard-packed surfaces. Formula hubs (15×110 mm front, 12×148 mm rear) and a UDH-compatible dropout provide modern standards and future-proof compatibility.
Additional features include a Syncros alloy cockpit, oversized 31.6 mm seatpost, and a Syncros Belcarra Regular 2.5 saddle. Weighing approximately 13.3 kg (without pedals), the Scale 965 is lightweight, responsive, and capable of handling a system weight up to 128 kg.
With a clean blue finish, race-tuned geometry, and versatile trail components, the SCOTT Scale 965 (2023) is the ideal hardtail for riders looking to step up their game with a fast and capable XC-ready machine.
